I Would Like to Recap

I would like to recap on why I have not played this game in about three months.

The primary scenario that sent me packing was them nerfing CoX (I found this comet storm proc naturally and it was HELLA fun) to the ground while not providing a free respec or modifying the talent row to make it playable. So I essentially had to dump my 500-600k, that I had spent very little of while leveling, to respec, kiss my $400 purchase goodbye, or just do zero damage. I respec'd to the lightning spark build. Not a fun build, very boring game play, but it got some of the job done... I played it for awhile, but nonetheless, the stale gameplay just evermore killed my desire to play.

While I think the fundamentals of the game are solid, there were a few promises fulfilled, granted most by fellow gamers and not actually GGG, that I can just not sit with.

The promises:

A) They care about feedback. They do not. You cannot, in any world, think that people are okay with wasting their entire bank of gold respecing. While figuring out another build because you decided that nerfing fun to the ground was okay... Don't be a gaming company if you think this is a smart move.
A-1) Side note, this tier row has still not been fixed what, four months later? Just a dead row... Yeah, 100% listen to feedback.

B) Well thought out content. No, not a thing. Having a triple tax for dying in end game is just silly. Very, very silly. My time is the tax. There is no need for another penalty.

C) Solid endgame. I suppose this ties in to point (B) but it needs to be iterated. I did not play POE1. I had ZERO idea what to do in endgame outside of just grinding maps (didn't even understand map talents) until I stopped playing and saw people making videos about it. Legit a HORRID job on guiding people in to endgame content.

D) Good economy / Crafting. I do not understand the concept behind crafting materials being the primary currency for trade. You're literally disincentivizing people to use crafting materials even though it looks like it was a designed fundamental of the game...? Maybe I'm wrong here? But it looks like it was supposed to be important.

E) Progress bosses like ascendancy trial bosses that you have never seen before. Yet if you wipe to them you need to redo the ENTIRELY ascendancy trial relay hoping you get decent affixes. Horridly designed. Getting 1shot by something you have never seen before then having to farm more currency, spend another 30-90min climbing the trial just to reattempt the same boss. Just bad design.

That's all for now. These are the four major hurdles that kept slapping me in the face when I tried to play.

To me the game is just not fun for these reasons, if it's fun for you. 100% have at it. If you strongly disagree with any of my points, I hope they don't change the game so you can keep enjoying it.

However, this is entirely the worst $400 I have spent in my gaming life.
