The absolute state of Path of Exile and gaming in general.

" Thank you for a sensible post in a sea of craziness. A +1 to everything you said. The whole review-situation on games is a bit ridiculous these days, with more people willing to use reviews offensively than there are people who just want to give an honest review for a game. It is kind of amusing when there are people with hundreds, sometimes thousands of hours in a game along with more hours played in the last two weeks than there are hours of daylight paired with a recent negative rating. Those kinds of reviews say way more about the player than they do the game, and it's a shame we can't find a good way to filter them out all the noise. Same problem with feedback on these forums I suppose. |

If anyone has an update on whether the game that I paid money to play is still crashing with the NVidia errors, or whatever it has been put down to, that would be great, and appreciated. It really was quite bad and was the reason I had to stop playing. Call it donating, crowdsourcing, whatever you like - I had to fork over money to play POE 2. I had to stop trying to play it because it was crashing so much.
On another matter from earlier in this thread... I also really wish 'people would stop trying to speak on behalf of people they don't know. Just share your opinion about the game and stop acting like you're an activist'. Makes me wonder about, 'Anyway, as for testing games for developers - yeah guy we're on board. It's called crowdsourcing and it's very efficient'. Who is this 'we' and are the views of others being represented? Receiving negative feedback is a great way for a business to improve it's service. Businesses don't have all the answers themselves and sometimes a good business will seek negative feedback, you know, listen to it's customers. This in order to improve it's offering. They might even gain more customers with an improved product, this is a business we are talking about after all. |

The technical issues are unfortunate. I haven't had these myself so it's something about hardware/possibly os related.
I have faith in triple g based on their interviews that they'll be able to sort these issues out. How long it will take remains to be seen. |

You only made that thread because you have the infamous Nvidia crash, everything else is just salt and overthinking. Your rant has nothing to do with gaming in general, you only have one real problem and it's PoE2 crashing which is fair, yeah it's frustrating and unfortunate but keep it real...you are unlucky because most of us found a solution to this problem in 0.3 and the problem got away in 0.4 miraculously. So hand tight, a game is not running well for you yes and you haven't found solution yet, but that's about it, rest is unecessary bla bla bla.

Can't update someone about "Nvidia crashes" because I'm not having any. Yes I have an Nvidia card RTX 4080... I just don't have any crashes.
During the "free weekend" off and on I had lag spikes is about it. Also I guess it sucks that some people aren't having fun or are having issues. Been having a blast personally or you know I wouldn't keep buying packs and all that jazz. |

I would say I do have a problem with this 'Early Access' culture which seems to have appeared in relatively recent years. It has led to more than zero half baked and ill-considered 'game releases'. POE 2, I believe, is part of this recent culture at least from what I have experienced. I don't have to support them but if I do hand over money, I think the least I should be able to expect is that I can use the product. If I don't like the game, or the philosophy of it's creators, then I suppose that's a loss I'll take. But if I can't use the product I've bought, that is I think, another matter.
I don't think it should be the responsibility of the consumers, admittedly allowing for within reason, to troubleshoot their PCs or internet connections or whatever. POE 2 is the only game I have had this issue with. |
