Doryani floating air slam bugged or visually misleading?

I am currently playing a huntress and was fighting against Doryani in the black citadel in late endgame mapping. I just died to hit AOE slam attack that it does while floating in the air. I have enough movement speed to get out of his attack, but even after standing outside his slam he still managed to hit me with it. Has anyone else experienced this issue where the visual indicator is completely wrong about the aoe the attack actually covers? Went back to the campaign in act 3 to see if standing near but not on the edge would hit me and it didnt, did it many times and had no issues with it. Im unaware of any mods on my waystone having any attack area increases. 2nd time I have died to this boss like this. Should I report this as a bug or just accept this as is, cause this is honestly the worst feeling of being cheated out.
