Can't gain first two ascendency points after completing chaos trial.

I completed Chaos trial prior Sehkmas and now sehkmas is bugged out and it doesn't let me claim ascendency points or finish the ascent to power quest

Points are not tied to a specific trial or act. You got the first two points in Trial of Chaos, now for the 2nd Ascendancy you need Djinn Barya with 2 trials lvl 45+ or Ultimatum with 7 trials lvl 60+.
