Audio Quality on Steamdeck/Linux cuts out/ static-y / robotic sounding.

I play on Ubuntu and also on my Steamdeck through Steam, I will restart my computer/deck and the problem will go away, however if I play a long session and then restart the game, the audio is all messed up and cuts out, is static-y and robotic sounding, tends to be worse when there is more going on in game and not just standing there.

This problem does not present itself when I use Bluetooth headphones. I would normally think that this is a Linux audio driver issue, but it is only occurring with EA poe2 and no other programs.
