Critical Freeze and Polygon Screen Bug – Game Unplayable in DUO

My friend and I have been playing in DUO mode and have encountered recurring, game-breaking issues that have now led us to stop playing Path of Exile 2 entirely.

Issue 1: Frequent Screen Freezing
Both of us experience random screen freezes at different times during gameplay. When my screen freezes, the game retains the last WASD input — for example, if my character was moving left before the freeze, they will continue moving left during the freeze. This freeze lasts for about 10–15 seconds, making me completely vulnerable.

We discovered that pressing ESC can sometimes “pause” the game for us and avoid disaster, but this isn’t a viable workaround. This issue happens at least once per day per player and is extremely disruptive.

Issue 2: Polygon Screen Crash – Game Unplayable
The second issue is more severe and has made the game completely unplayable for my friend:

During a run in the Grotto Map, his screen suddenly froze and then distorted into a polygonal mess (see screenshot below).



After a restart, the screen remained broken when reloading the map.

His character eventually died.

From that point on, the system seems to “remember” his character’s last location (the Grotto Map). Even after I cleared the map and opened another different map, his game crashes to desktop upon character selection.

This crash is now consistent and infinite. He cannot play at all anymore.

We’ve already tried full restarts of the game and PC, but the issue persists.

We hope this can be looked into urgently. The game has been incredibly fun and we’d love to return, but right now it's unplayable for us. Please let us know if there's any additional log or diagnostic info you need from our end.
