Despair vanishing from skills

Every so often despair vanishes, unequipping the gem and resocketing it doesnt work, you have to buy a new gem to slot in - This will cause a problem later on when the gems get expensive - for now that is the band aid but not ideal.

I had the same issue, also happened for essence drain. It seems when a equiped a new item with +2 level to spell skills broke the gems.

I have a somewhat similar issue now.
Despair is still equipped as gem, but removed from my hotbar.

Had to create new gems for it to appear so that i could hotbar it - BUT i cannot cast it, nothing happens at all.
