Game Freezing causing fog of war to reset

Almost EVERY waystone i try to run. . . about half way through the game freezes. I see the GGG gears for a few seconds and then it unfreezes and my fog of war is reset. Which is super annoying because i cannot see where i have been. I have to walk back through areas I previously uncovered if i want to full clear a map. It makes me not want to play this garbage as i am pretty sure nothing will drop that is worth my time. This is the least fun I have had in your game since launch.
