Getting close to the boss arenas in maps Triggers Maps Reset incorrectly on death

I have been having this huge issue, where im exploring the map, find the boss early, choose not to do the boss, continue to explore the map, die (without killing map boss & or attempting it) , and then come back into the map, and notice, 1 MONSTER REMAINING ON MAP ( BOSS ), and all content has been removed, map randomized/re-generated as if i had chosen to kill the boss first, and forfeiting the extra content/rares/ect on the map this clearly is a bug and needs to be fixed.

i think getting close to the boss area/arena/checkpoint Flags you as attempting the boss, Hence if u die, it counts as if u are coming back into the map to try to re-attempt the boss, when in fact u haven't fought the boss


the penalty mechanic for Doing bosses too soon or (first) before clearing the map

is triggering before its supposed to (e;g Killing the boss first before clearing map/mobs/rares/extra content/ect).

This happens specifically with Bosses With an ARENA, u need to go into


i suspect, the area zone/ or trigger for this event is either enabling on activating the boss check point or getting close to the barrier for the boss entry way.

have been through this bug multiple times now, and loosing my ability to finish the map/content correctly.

How to re-produce,
1-go into map

2- find boss arena,enable check point get close to the arena
ect walk around but do not attempt the boss or go in

3- die elsewhere


final step - go back into map and check minimap or (tab) map overlay, u are now
re discovering the map and no rares are on map anymore and map should say, 1 monster remaining.

if u can confirm u have experienced this please reply to this post to get GGG's attention to fix this as soon as possible.

why is this introduced at all?

why "force" us to do "x" content before a boss, does it even increase our rewards?, does it do anything for us? incentive wise? is there a reason for this mechanic to be in place?, why Implement this? just to force us do something before what we would (possibly) want to do?

are you giving us any incentive at all to not do the boss first? and then get more rewards?, is it the same if we do it first or last, other than loosing content?
if it is the same, why is this implemented, its an annoyance and an obstruction to
free form Gameplay, which in no way creates any positive outcome for the player

Please Give me some sort of reasoning behind this choice, i don't see any logic to it other than forcing us to wait, to do what we want &or penalize us for doing that.
