Plenty of feedback from players and the issue is obvious

Sadly, I can not see GGG actually read the feedback or even react to it.
But here is anyway. We have few different groups of players in this game - and GGG need to cater to 3 of them!! 1. Casual player playing new league playing maybe 10-20 hours max per week that just want to have a good solid progression through the campaign and enjoy different builds on THEIR level. 2. Hardcore no life players that spend 12 hours MINIMIUM per DAY and are simply not playing the same game. 3. Streamers doing the same but focusing on making money from their time in game by build guides or clips. The focus from GGG should be VERY clear now. You CAN create a game mode that suits all of these 3 groups. Last Epoch is even doing better doing it right now by allowing everyone to enjoy the early game and then ramp up the difficulty when players have builds and fair chance of gear grind. And that is in DIFFERENT MODES!!!.... Cause BUYING your victory should NOT be the only way and will just make the CHEATERS, RMTs and sweat shops as the main group for the game. and that is NOT what you want! " That's not what you and I want. Not sure about GGG tho... |

In terms of ramping difficulty I generally agree that difficulty (post campaign) should ramp sharply.
I'd recommend GGG balance the campaign around SSF + HC + no "refarming" required for the campaign. Perhaps enough power to get through the campaign could exist with base skills and the passive tree?? This way with pretty bad gear you should be able to make it through the campaign. As soon as you hit maps though the difficulty should ramp quickly so that you NEED nice gear + skills + passives AND have all of those synergize. That might be a shock post campaign but I think it's an idea worth exploring. |

"This is difficult when there's a lot of variables at play: - is the player looking at vendors? - does the player disenchant? - is the player competent - i.e. taking useful actions instead of spamming dodge rolls? - how many skills is the player using? |

GGG somehow need to balance the campaign in a FAIR way where its not 100% RNG but has a good, solid chance of character progression even through SSF. Cause the buying and selling features in the game will eventually just create RMT and Sweat shops. Best way for a less RNG through campaign is probably to see better drops on bosses. More currency for example but I would also want to see CLASS drops only for bosses. I would also just allow 4 affixes on gear through the campaign and then ramp it up in maps. THat is VERY simple to do by having different currency for the 5th and 6th affixes. Then balance the campaign for the 4 affixes and make it FUN to progress! But for me, the campaign is perfect for ssf + hc + no refarming.
It does not come for free thought. For me at least it requires knowledge of mechanics, not face-tanking big hits, and building/ item-crafting intelligently. Dernière édition par sudhirking#4476, le 17 avr. 2025 à 19:59:23

Nobody wants to pick up garbage and disenchant it for regal shards. New players dont even know what regal shards are, what regal orbs are, or why they should want them. Theres a very good chance that if a new player finds out and uses one, the roll on that stat won't even be a good one.
Can somebody please relay this message to the developers? Just because it is a possible option doesn't mean its something you should want the players to do. Just make the fucking loot good or make the bosses killable with basic blue gear. There's no reason for it to be this hard for people. You can't please everyone and if you do you are doomed to fail that's the famous quote, but the majority of players are casuals and they want the game easy which defeat the purpose of progression, early phase of the game is always hard but you overcome if you stick to playing the game, that doesn't mean the current state of the game is fine but balancing is not an easy task and finding that sweat spot between game handing out loot to extreme scarcity, poe1 didn't start off great either and it was slog fest early on as well these things takes time.
