Citadel hunting still feels bad
|
The beams of light were a massive improvement, and im very happy with it. However Citadel generation is still lacking and too random. You can pick a direction and push it for hours, without seeing a single beam of light.
My suggestion is that every time you clear a tower, it builds up a counter that eventually spawns a citadel close to you. Close enough to generate a beam. That way you have a failsafe and provide more reasons to clear towers (Cause if you are hunting citadels towers have little value, you won't be juicing maps). I hope this feedback is helpful. Hours? I've been mapping since last Sunday and have completed over 40 towers and have not seen a single citadel. I actually inspected my tree and started running low tier maps just to see if I could find one faster and still haven't found one!
I am either winning the PoE 2 version of minesweeper, my atlas is bugged, or the dev team boofed it Pretty obvious answer would be: 15 tiers of waystones 3 citadel fragments Every 5 towers in a given tier spawns a citadel beacon in nearby fog Allow multiple attempts so people can get their first fragments After 3 citadels you get to attempt tier 0 arbiter as many times as needed After tier 0 you start to limit portals You get infinite attempts to learn every boss in the game it makes exactly 0 sense that you are never given the ability to learn the hardest content in the game without a YouTube video Additionally: Reduce splinter requirements to ~100 for tier 0 and increase 100 splinters with each tier. Guarantee olroth by the 4th logbook. Dernière édition par MeanBob_Games#6853, le 15 avr. 2025 à 10:03:13

I've been running maps for about a week, up to T6 Nexus. I've never even seen one of the light beams - I just assumed Citadels were locked until you beat T15 Nexus.

" Not the case. I know people who have got citadels within 3 nexus tiers. I am up to tier 12 and haven't found one. |

I can estimate around 7-10 citadel clears so far, however my character is nearing 100 hours played. At first, they were relatively plentiful as that was not my main focus, so by just exploring around for other reasons some beams of light showed up naturally. Now that its the main focus of my mapping strategy, those have ran out and i can't really find a reliable way of finding them.
The funny thing is, if this was SSF, i wouldn't even have enough for four arbiter kills. |
