Vaults of Kamasa: Zero Mobs, Zero Loot, Zero Impact
|
Hey GGG,
Ran Vaults of Kamasa in PoE 2 and... I genuinely don’t understand what the point of this map is right now. There are no monsters — just piles of rare weapons scattered around, which sounds interesting on paper. But after looting the entire map and disenchanting everything, I walked away with just enough materials to craft a single Regal Orb. That’s it. No big reward chest. No boss. No memorable moment. Just... loot vacuuming and disappointment. ❓ What's the Design Goal Here? If this map is supposed to be a break from combat, a loot-focused experience, then the loot needs to actually feel meaningful. Right now, Vaults of Kamasa feels like a test room that accidentally made it into the map pool. Where’s the impact? Where’s the reward? Where’s the reason to ever run this again? ⚠️ This Reflects a Bigger Problem This isn’t just about one map. This feels like part of a larger disconnect in PoE 2 right now: The mechanics being introduced aren't lining up with meaningful loot or satisfying gameplay. From this map, to wisps, to some league mechanics — there’s a sense that systems are being designed in a vacuum, without tying them into what makes PoE exciting: risk, reward, and the feeling of progression. TL;DR: Vaults of Kamasa has no mobs, no real loot, and no purpose. Got one Regal Orb’s worth of materials from the entire thing. Please revisit the reward structure — right now it feels unfinished and unrewarding. Anyone else run this map and feel the same? Curious if this was just a one-off, or if others are seeing the same empty returns. Dernier bump le 13 avr. 2025 à 18:36:36

Yeah this unique map is god damn terrible. Boring to run, uninspired idea, unrewarding returns.
It was in 0.1 though, so it's not really a reflection of recent decisions. I think it was just added in as another unique map because they had no other good ideas. If the chest at the end had it's own drop pool of uniques, it might be cool. It doesn't, and it isn't. Dernière édition par AverBeg7#1689, le 13 avr. 2025 à 18:39:00
