Omen of Secret compartments consumed but strongbox cannot be reopened

I used the Omen of secret compartments and opened the unique strongbox with the beetle that runs away from you when you open it. The omen was consumed but when I killed the beetle I can't open it again. The icon for the strongbox is still on the minimap though.

Leaving the map and entering it again made the strongbox icon on the minimap disappear.

Same here, spent 24 exalt on the busted omen and was absolutely not able to reopen it however it most definitely got consumed.

24 exalt = poof gone
