No class-specific weapon drops in early game

I made a similar post about staves when I played monk. Got lots of weapons drop except quarterstaves. Now I play merc and the exact same thing happens. I get all kinds of weapons drop (quarterstaves included) except crossbows... Not a single crossbow dropped while tens of non class-specific weapons drop with no problem.

Probably just feels that way because you need them.
Vendors and transmutes are your friend in the early game. |

Any first quarterstaff drop I've got on monk was in Ogham Manor. Any first crossbow drop on merc I've got was in the Tomb of the Praetor but these drops started much early on the non-related class and there were many of them.
