An Overall positive patch - but Endgame is still lacklustre
|
Level 92 Amazon Huntress for reference.
Overall, all the additions to the patch are a good thing. I really like the Huntress and it captures the feeling of the D2 Javanzon well, it's fun being mobile and moving between range and melee. Unfortunately, after reaching endgame and beating the main bosses once I feel my drive to continue it completely gone. For me, the endgame is no where near as compelling as PoE1 at this point and will need significant work in order to get there. There's not enough bosses or league mechanics, and there's little to no incentive to keep pushing after you've beaten the main bosses once and gotten your 4th ascendancy. I find that between level 80-90 the game runs to a grinding halt, your character is 90% complete. The move away from the Map system to the Atlas is still one I'm unsure about, I'm not able to farm the 7/8 map types I like and feel like I'm forced to endure 10 augury's before I get one I like. Certain tilesets feel like they don't exist due to them only spawning around citadels. (I've only found 1 citadel in all this time, had to buy the other keys.) I understand this is only patch 0.2, so this may be a problem which will solve itself over time, but I felt I should still leave my feedback. I usually spend between 300-600 hours per league in PoE1, in this I'm tapping out after around 60. Also, I feel that GGG should focus on adding new classes and content over balance. My reason for this is simply that every time you add skills, supports and uniques you completely mess with the balance all over again. In terms of getting the game finished faster I feel it'd be better to prioritise content first, and then balance later. This being said, I know people will rage if they get too accustomed to being OP. Dernier bump le 13 avr. 2025 à 17:32:32
