Endgame - Can't add tablets to newly completed towers (Please help/fix)

Since patch 0.2.0, when mapping and completing a tower with a 6+ modifier waystone, most of the time it doesn't let me influence the tower and gives the error "Tower already in use". Is it because it's close to another tower? I've spent so much time expanding out only to get this error on new towers.



On a side note, prior to the 0.2.0 patch, tier 15/16 maps were challenging to my lvl 90 character but I was able to complete them most times. After 0.2.0 patch, I'm lucky to to not use all my lives on a tier 10 map. I've re-spec'd my passive tree, gear, and skills numerous times but my DPS is always less than half of what it used to be, and even with max resistances I'm constantly dying and/or getting stun locked. Is the intent to make the game a slog fest? The game used to be so much more fun before the patch :(
