What makes the campaign - according to your personal experience - harder than it was in the last season?
At least thats a claim I read a lot in the forum. I do not share that impression - for me the campaign difficulty felt the same. I have honestly no clue what people are talking about. Dernier bump le 10 avr. 2025 à 00:07:14

Did you play the same build as last time or new build?
Lots of people try different builds and surprise, aren't tuned to actually perform in the campaign. If one campaign run, you disenchant everything you have a good time. If you vendor rares, you'll have a bad time. There are many mistakes you can make shortly after creating your character that immediately impact your experience of the campaign. |

From the first two days that I did almost all of my gaming...
I wouldn't say it was harder, it was just more tedious. 1) From increased HP pools. 2) Nerfed Skills. I did a from scratch playthrough the week before on SSFHC prior to the patch. They absolutely gutted my minion build. The same exact build took 4x as long to kill anything. Literally all I did was run in circles casting as I could while my minions tickled them to death. That and they died more. Nothing strategic about that. And honestly, it really wasn't that different from before it is just instead of running around for a few seconds, I ran around for two minutes. Longer on bosses. I switched to cold and withering presence just to keep them off my ass but I really hope that isn't the intended "strategical" gameplay. Running at my witch full speed ignoring my "meat shields" that apparently can't even kill them isn't fun gameplay. Switching skills around made it better but that is because I started just freezing them in place and withering slows them to a crawl. And no, I shouldn't have to use ED/Contagion to kill shit at a good pace. All of it should work. Dernière édition par Utukka#5444, le 9 avr. 2025 à 23:18:15

It's felt easier to me, but I can firmly identify that it's entirely just that I know what to expect at the moment. I know how each act boss and trash mob acts, and what they're capable of, and a method of understanding if the current character I'm playing is 'safe' from an attack, or should take defensive measures about it (though of course I still make the odd incorrect guess on what I need to dodge or not dodge).

" For me it was "harder" on release day and that was due hp pools on white-mobs mostely at that time. After the fix the campain started to feel same as before to me with the exception that I'm rolling a warrior this time. I'm comparing my warrior run through Act 1 and part of Act 2 from previous league (played 3 other classes in end game but not comparing to those) with my warrior in this legue so pitting same against same. So, as said, the hp patch they did solved that issue for me mostly. Bosses were not a problematic, already know their mechanics so I dispatched most of them on first try even if fights took quite a while. I finished off Viper in normal yesterday and it was much more managable than in last legue but I believe they already patched her since I have not seen her doing the oversized chaos aoe I remeber from last legue but a significantly smaller circles. She still hit hard and was eager to splash poison pool under my feet but fight was much better this time. The most annoying mob: Those darn witches or whatever in act 3 with their water balls and circles. I loath them, deeply and double so on warrior. I can't yet speak about cruel part of the campain since I'll be tackling that today. I should also point out that I'm in habit of killing all mobs on all maps during campain and not rushing trough it from boss to boss, beelining through it so that might make my experience different from others. My gripe is with the fastest mobs when you got swarmed by them before you can even register what is going on but thats something that persists from previous legue. And my second, and reall biggest gripe, is the lack of ingame auction house, an issue not native to this legue but persisting from PoE1 and into PoE2. I do not apreciate the forced socialisation and loath the idea of having to whisper random people, wait for responses, meet up with them to buy or sell items and as such I am not partaking in trade at all. I had one too many bad experience online in my 25 years of gaming that this is a serious issue for me. I will not go into details of it however I do think that devs should consider certain things that they are being blind to at this time in regards to the traiding as it is. Anyhow, my two cents. |
