CURRENCY NEEDS A MASSIVE BUFF ASAP

By the time I cleared Acts 1-2 in the new league, I had 5 orbs of transmutation TOTAL, with 1 exalt, zero alchs, chaos, or regal drops. After Act 3, I had 4 exalts, with zero alchs, chaos, or regal drops. No jewelers orbs, barely any blacksmith whetstones...
Not having currency forces people into trading for what they want versus crafting it. If I only have 4 Exalts, no alchs, no chaos, and no regals - I have to trade for what I want, because I can't really craft anything. It's just RNG vendors and gambling for gear upgrades. Man even if they buffed currency drops, that wouldn't encourage me to do crafting. That's gambling. I'd rather use that currency to obtain gear I know will have the mods I need.
Also, who in their right mind "crafts" with raw currency? PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.

I really don't feel I've been missing on anything, but I've focused on having at least 1% item rarity per level so far even if it meant using blue items and it has worked wonders during campaign.

Agree with OP. This is my one and single issue I have with the game - that is being forced to trade, and no reliable way to craft the gear. And this will likely prevent any new players from enjoying or progressing through the game cos they may feel that the game is too difficult - but really, its just the lack of proper gear.
