[WASD] Auto-targeting stops working for attacks after one kill or they never re-target

Short version: after holding down the skill's button and killing an enemy with it, all subsequent attacks will no longer auto-target at anything until you release the button first. Additionally, holding down the button before having a valid target under your cursor will prevent auto-targeting until you release the button and hold it with a target under your cursor.

------
Let's say I have a bow skill on my right-click. I move my cursor over a mob, hold it and then my character keeps targeting that monster, even if it moves or jumps/warps. This is good and helps ranged characters.

Now, after such monster dies and you keep holding the attack button, there will be no re-targeting at all. You can even hover the cursor over the next monster - no name or health bar will appear above and your character won't be auto-targeting them, only shooting in general direction, missing most of the time. This is bad.

The only workaround is to be releasing the attack button after each and every kill, which is ridiculous. It's also hard to predict; do I release the button after the next shot or the monster survives it and then I start damaging another target without finishing this one? Or perhaps I crit and the target dies now, but I still keep shooting, wasting my time and mana. Where if the re-targeting was working properly, the cursor would just grab the next monster under it and I'd be dealing with a new one.

The current behaviour looks like a bug or an oversight. It breaks all the flow of the ranged combat and is very inconvinient.
It's also silly how in general auto-aim/namelocking that you can't turn off is really bad, but then when you want to benefit from it, it doesn't do the only job it has.

Furthermore, if you start holding your right-click without targeting anything and then move the cursor over a monster, their name/healthbar won't show up either and your character won't be targeting them at all, only loosely shooting in that direction.
