General UI and small “bug” improvements

Thank you for the opportunity to provide some feedback. I love the game and have played 800 hours now. I simply cannot believe it’s this refined and playable in early access. GGG as a team has done an amazing job, and for that I’m thankful.

Below are some ideas and suggestions on improving some of the mechanics within the game. I call them quality of life ideas, and although I know any change takes a large effort, I believe they will be be beneficial in the long term for the vast majority of the player base.

I’m going to attempt to organize these suggestions into categories, but please forgive any tangents.

Zooming out of your atlas would make it much much easier to find specific areas you’re interested in running.

Refunding passives with one click or not having to go down a whole path (on console). This could either be a respec mode or allow players to click on the path to refund all passives (with a confirmation screen for misclicks).

Party finder has definitely had some work done but is still not working if there are 5 people in a party you’re trying to join. It shows these parties as full. If they’re full and/or not joinable, I’d recommend not showing them in the party finder. In addition, the menu is not scrolling properly as it reaches the bottom.

Towers not differentiating between having a tablet or not having a tablet. A different color or aura would probably

Trials of chaos elevators glitching out and trapping players in an area. This is especially prevalent in multiplayer.

Remove only stash tabs for linked accounts. I’m super bummed that in order to utilize my stash tabs between PC and PS5 I would have to rebuy the same tabs. Those tabs would then appear as remove only on the “other” device.

A FAQ page for customer service issues could alleviate 80% of customer inquiries. Think of it as an investment in the customer service department.

Citadels and map areas completely cut off from pathing feels pretty bad.

Maps with an additional breach don’t actually contain an additional breach in about 50% of maps.

Ability to turn off or at least downscale other players’ effects so your game doesn’t lag or crash.

Console friends list looks really bad when compared to PC. The icons are way too big and it is the only menu in PoE that scrolls left to right instead of up and down. Similarly, please make the default showing online friends only instead of defaulting to showing all friends. I still haven’t thought of a reason I’d ever need/want to see an offline friend. Reminiscing?

Console cursor placement randomization. Certain clicks like in Currency Exchange or in stash inventory revert cursor to a random, never needed place. In Alva currency exchange, the cursor reverts to the tooltip when it should probably revert to the other side of the transaction (I want vs I have).

Console marks/attacks/offerings not targeting but still procing cooldown and using mana. There is a lot of backtracking in PoE 2 because monsters swarm instantaneously. R3 button could allow you to lock on so attacks/offerings/marks don’t miscast.

Ziggurat Act3 time warp calamity - I get it: time travel is hard. It jukes a lot of people out, including myself. However, once in the Drowned City area, and especially once Act 3 is beaten, these portals need to be addressed. Act 3 waypoint in the original portion pre time travel needs to be placed back on the far upper right hand side. This waypoint disappears after the time travel portal opens and it should still be there. This would solve all issues like trying to leave Act 3 and being immediately put into Riverbank area even after you beat it.

You cannot port out of the Vaal Foundry boss arena into the map in case you’ve missed anything. The portal into the boss area where molten lava flows should be two-way, not just one-way.

Map placeholder. Please put me into the map where I last scrolled to instead of the last node completed. Sometimes I want to be able to grab a different waystone and have scrolled and found the area I want to be in. Or, just let me zoom waaaaaaaay out. Either/or fixes this issue.

Having a tablet/breach/rune/whatever else stash tab or affinity would make organizing tabs much more efficient.

Stash tab affinities resetting because you played on PC when returning to console feels bad and unnecessary. Essentially, all affinities and public settings for PS5 reset if I login on PC.

The instance owner glitched out in trials, even when I’m the instance owner. A buy/sell vendor would alleviate this problem as well.

Gear from Chaos trials being corrupted with only 4 affixes 90% of the time feels really bad and makes those items practically useless. I believe this setting should scale with trial level. For instance, a level 42 Inscribed Ultimatum should yield 4 affix items. A level 80 Inscribed Ultimatum should yield 6 affix items.

People not being able to join you to trade because of some glitch. Glitched out party invites and non responsive notifications regarding party invites feels bad on PS5. There are so many instances of invites not being received because the party is glitched out and we have to close/reset our games. We know it isn’t working properly because we’re already in voice chat and can provide verbal feedback upon invite.

Runes only stacking in the bottom of the currency tab. Expedition currency only stacking in bottom of the currency tab. Catalysts only stacking in the bottom of the currency tab. These stacks should be much much higher, even when outside of the currency tab.

Boss icons not clearing off quest map when they’re completed. Azak Bog being the most notable.

The avarice (gold shrine) should to be buffed by 1,000x for it to be considered a shrine and not a debuff.

Tooltip DPS for many skills including minions doesn’t appear in the skills menu. You have to dig deeper into advanced info and that menu doesn’t scroll properly on console.

The ability to continuously apply gemcutter’s prisms to gems would be appreciated. Currently, the cursor moves you to a support gem after application. The cursor should stay in place.

Item level should be shown all the time, including when the item is on the ground. Unidentified items show you the level they can be used at (not useful) and should tell you item level (the most useful/important information) instead.

Prefix/suffix info should be shown all the time. While on this point, PoE2’s new tiering system of t1 being the worst instead of t1 being the best does nothing except gate keep newer players. It’s an unfair inexplicable system and is especially a failure when applying omens. T7 critical hit is better than T8 mana yet will still be removed while whittling. This is inappropriate and unacceptable.

Divs stacking more than 10 high is needed for late game trading.

Expedition currency should all be pulled directly from stash like pebbles currently are when used at a vendor or reforge.
