Missing Gems and Valuable Items After Passive Tree Rework

I logged in to two of my older characters in Path of Exile 2 — SkadFia and my Chronomancer, both level 89 — and noticed that after the recent passive skill tree rework and the forced respec, multiple of my socketed gems are missing.
The most concerning issue is with SkadFia, the character I invested the most into. She lost an Against the Darkness Time-Lost Diamond, which provided key bonuses for thunder damage. That item was extremely valuable and crucial to the build's functionality. While I don’t mind losing some of the green gems, the diamond was a major investment.
It seems this is affecting other players as well, especially those who heavily invested in gem slots with valuable emeralds and sapphires.
Is there anything that can be done to recover these missing items? I would greatly appreciate any help or clarification.

Wrong forum but...

Type "/reclaimjewels" into the in game chat and they'll be put into your character inventory. You'll have to do this for each character separately.
