Au contraire to detractors
|
Never have I written a post on an online forum, but here I go.
Au contraire to many detractors and badmouthers whose conditions seem to stem from being chronically online, an endless pursuit of casual dopamine hits, lacking vitamin D from zero sun exposure, looking for another game that just might fulfil their (idiotic) power fantasy. They go further seeking something that might just deliver them from feeling the terrible weight of the existential dread, the inability to face oneself and sit silently alone with their own thoughts, to cope they numb themselves with various opiods, such as meming everything all the time so that becomes part of their individuality, they desire zero gravity cross-map jumping, flying across the map, to one shot most of everything on the screen, to chain 50 million projectiles off of each other and other such nonsense. They are restless, always hungry for more, for flashy lights and orange drops and when something lasts longer than their attention span allows, they either act on a whim, write a negative unconstructive review and honesty falls as their first casualty or they get truly angry, fuming, foam gathering at their mouths, they type unhinged posts on various forums with their utterances that barely resemble a language and the coherence of their speech equates the shallowness of our times and that is the majority of the feedback the developers receive. Path of Exile 2, in my view, should be hard(core), methodical with multidimensional crafting systems and with meaningful encounters, where every enemy (the white monsters included) could return you to the beach, when you are careless enough or you overconfidently get surrounded, using defensive abilities offensively (for example). In my opinion, the player also should not climb to overly great heights in power, the developers think they should, just slower, I disagree. Dear developers, you have got such a gem of a game. If it turns sour and gets watered down because of the many, what a pity that would be. Hardcore is great, great difficulty is great. Feeling the weight of your actions in the game feels great. Moving methodically feels great. Resources being scarce feels great. Even having limited stash feels great. Very few games capture this feeling, probably all of them would have to be heavily modded and you could count them on your fingers. You might resist it, but I truly believe, in your heart of hearts, this is what you, the player wants, but you have yet to realize it and that might require you to change your approach to the world, your consciousness. That's a lot of time and effort for a very lengthy ad hominem that says nothing.

Issue with comments like these is that you are probably not past the campaign yet where every map is a fight for your life where you will most likely never earn any additional level because you will die so many times.
There are not many players that want an "easy game". Most of the people not happy with the patch just want a fair and nice balance. Hard ? Yes, but possible. There are map right now that you will hit and you literally cannot complete all the content of the map because the mobs are 5 times stronger and tankier than you are. That's over the top. All people are asking is a more fair balance. If every moment is a fight for your life, nothing stands out. Dernière édition par thaHatred#2109, le 6 avr. 2025 à 07:56:00

" I am currently level 71, place 237 on the HC SSF leaderboard. That means the character cannot die and cannot trade or party with others in case you did not know. What do you feel about your assumption now? Nothing you say is of any validity. You and the others are not asking for a fair balance, but POE1 type cookie-cutter map blasting, which is not absent from the game at higher levels right now, where the speed of the gameplay increases rapidly and enemies and player character both blast away very fast and I would very much prefer for it to be like the early levels too. " I had a bunch of people try to tell me I was wrong during Ruthless Settlers because Kripp said XYZ when he was below me on the ladder. It happens. |

Just report posts like this people, no need to acknowledge a post where the entire first two paragraphs are unpleasant insults.
What you are doing is no more useful than the similarly unpleasant threads calling developers names or telling them to stand down. |
|
" They would be insults only to those who find themselves applicable to the vague description, wouldn't you say? And if they are applicable, they would be true. And if they were true, would that be an insult or description? |
