Concern about characters safety - Suggestion

Hi,

I almost deleted my main character.

I bump my controller while standing up while I am on the caracter's selection screen.

I realize some buttons have been touched.

I lookup the tv screen and see I have the confirmation window to delete my character.

What if it had gone a step further and pressed confirmed?

Would a check box be a good idea to secure a character so the delete option is unabled?
