Gold Cap 5000
Hi, GGG!
I've been testing a lot of "Waystones" for gold farming. I've been running "Bluff", over and over. I've been running white ("normal") "Waystones" to avoid any additional factors. I haven't sold any items for gold during my testing. I'm aware of the item conversion to gold system when they drop. I've been testing different amounts of "% increased Rarity of Items found", and I've also been running with and without gold drop rings "Perandus Seal". Contrary to what the community thinks, "% increased Rarity of Items found" also increases the amount of gold. Apparently because higher rarity items convert to more gold (even if it happens less often). I first ran "Tier 1" and the results were (roughly) comparable to the ring bonuses. Then I ran "Tier 15" and the results were similar. But I noticed that the sum of 5000 often drops out and I thought - what items can turn into 5000? Most likely these are "rare" high-tier "Waystones". I ran a lot of "Tier 15" again, with and without "Perandus Seal" (gold drop rings). But this time, I took into account not only the nominal gold from the floor, but also the gold from selling "Waystones", "normal" and "magic" I upgraded to "rare" before selling, then sell price of high-tier is above 5000 (yes, this is a trick, but I did it both with and without rings). As a result, there was more gold WITHOUT "Perandus Seal"!!! And I think the reason is the gold drop cap 5000... Based on my research, I conclude that in fact: - "Perandus Seal" rings DO NOT give the profit indicated on them. - "Waystones" gold drop prefix DO NOT give the profit indicated on them. - "Local Knowledge" (notable on the Atlas passive tree) for gold DOES NOT give the profit indicated on them. In addition, you get a penalty - in the form of a smaller number of "Waystones" (I did not track this parameter, but I felt it subjectively). And the reason is obviously the gold drop cap of 5000... I'll raise this topic once, during the working week.
As for the gold cap - it's simply not fair to the players. |
