If meta skills left as it is, new league will be over in day1
Actually tried to report on Bug forum but seems not get enough attention. this is lethal and destructive for comming economy reset in April.
Basically, currently all Meta skills have absolutely 0 internal cooldown and allow themselves to be fired without any limit as long as you have enough energy for it. The casting sequence from it will then be fired and queued up (seemly parallel even) to create (if not the) most overpowered effect with almost 0 gear requirement. Also as long as recovery and energy supplyment are running, regardless how less they are, the queued up sequences then wont fully stop as long as you can supply one of these (even only partially). The nerf from 0.1.1 is not dealing with the real issue but more a kill of build varity nerf. Because as long as the meta skills can be queued up infinitely like this, people just need to find out another way to supply the energy needed for that high speed CoI loop, for mana, it is never a problem, as with Invocated efficiency, and elemental invocation casting ember fusillade, once queued up, it will keep casting more than 80 ember fussilades per second resulting more than 200% mana recovered per second. For Barrier Invocation loop, its even more broken, as the recouped life can somehow trick the server to not making themselves suiciding even if the self damaging cunsomed all the life. Same for demon barrier invocation using the 0icd queuing. Fix / nerf at correct place, otherwise, i bet the economy system will get ruined within first week, if not already on day1. as the author who originally created the CWDT build in PoE2, i spent all the time to balance and try to avoid this "feature", as its clearly not intended and if commonly used, might create severe server load. It is very sad that people like showed in the second vid are actually intensivly using this to draw more attention and views.
For me high risk high gain is a way, but not that what they do, because the queue mechanism together with recouped life almost make them invinciable and with trash gear becoming invincible as well as able to deal huge dps is absolutely a catastrophical mistake and WILL destroy the next league. Just image, regardless how much better the trampletoe bug works currently, or the temporalis or stat stacks are, you still have to progress towards it, not counting other builds that aren't that dominating like these 3. And in meanwhile, people abusing this mechanism of Meta skills are melting high end content at day1 and dominating the whole market, how hopless would the game then become? basically your then forced to play such build otherwise you can't even afford gear as they producing way too much currencies in no time and no effort. And thats why even the build originally come from me, i eager GGG to give it a suitable nerf. |
