POE2 seems unrecoverable

I've been playing since closed beta in PoE. I've done most of what the game has to offer (save the ultimate time sinks that I feel are a waste of time) and would have been returning for years to come. I ran some defense for poo2, feeling like it being in EA meant there would be rapid changes like what we had in the original game's early days.

Unfortunately, Jonathan is not Chris Wilson. The EA has been around for 4 months with almost no changes and it will be even more months before we get 0.2.0. Poo2 also collapsed the poe league cycle, make me and many others to feel like it's an abandoned game.

Given the hostility aimed at the game and dev team during the holiday season, one would expect they would kick into overdrive, seeing none of the community was happy, but they continued to plod along at a glacial pace.

At this point it feels like poo2 is a colossal long term failure because leadership lacks the skills to save it. GGG PLEASE just abandon the project before your company goes under. I expected you to abandon poe1, since having 2 similar products competing for the same space is bad business. But as it stands, everything poe2 does except the weapon swapping, and removing gems from gear is bad.

Towers suck, mapping sucks, the gems suck, supports suck, the """""combos"""" are clunky and don't reward enough damage, negatives on every passive node suck, defenses are in the worst state of any ARPG I've ever played, ascendancies are interesting on paper but are terrible in practice, DOTs being based off hit sucks. It's (unfortunately) a terrible game and I don't see it keeping any playerbase with your schedule. Even now it's at 40k players, and we all know half of those are trading bots.

It's not too late to throw in the towel and go back to keeping poe1 supported and healthy.

Both games will end up essentially the same gameplay wise.
Nothing radical of groundbreaking just a slower prettier version of the first itteration

The game has an identity problen what exactly is it trying to be? souls like? PoE 1.1? next gen arpg?
what direction are we heading for?

It feels like a bait and switch, plenty of promises but as we can see a lack of delivery.

I think Tencents will eventually step in, until then look forward to more races tabs to buy but no real meaningful changes.
Honestly, I think they should've just done a PoE 1 remaster with better graphics and put all their efforts into it. I mean, why make the same game and just make it worse?
0.2.0 will disappoint the most players because it does not deliver much...

On patch day 0.2.0 player numbers go up
and 1 week later its even worse than today...

So much commercial hype shit must lead to massive disappointment.....

that counts for all these wannabe modern companies with their Hype lies...

Don't worry guys. Before the end of the month, a expansion level patch will hit and you'll have so much more to complain about.

Stopped reading here.

Not going to waste my time reading the rant of a 12 year old child.
POE1 is old as ****. Just move on. I don't understand how you people got so addicted to a game that you played it for 13 years. And then when the developers tries to make a sequel. You're so addicted to the first game you complain about the sequel. Even whilst the sequel is still in Early Access and not even half complete.

Already stepped in. And that's exactly why we have what we have.

Any why Jensen said that RTX 5070 will have the speed of 4090 and MSRP 500$?
Business, nothing personal.

Same for POE2.

1. Sell a game by forming in people false impression (good slow combat, where everything is clear, visible and meaningful, combo skill mechanics, interesting multiplayer and so on - unlike POE1)
2. But in reality change nothing. Keep all essential core POE1 features (monsters, skills, mechanics, balance, gameplay) and strip the game of all additional features, leaving only basic stuff.
3. Add old stuff bits by bits and announce it as "brand new".
4. Profit.

Diablo 4 goes the same way. From the very start it was Diablo 3 copypasta but stipped of all good things D3 had. And then they just kept adding old stuff, forcing people to play D4 more.

This is what happens when corporations make games and not gamers (Swen Vincke is our only hope in this dark world).

Instead, you wasted way more time replying to a "12 year old child comment", right?
Damn, you can't make this s*it up.

And it will be fake hype every time an "addition" is announced.
