Does Animation Cancelling belong in this game? Remove it or make it an option?

I think one of the biggest problems with P2 is animation cancelling. Ironic considering it was a solution to a problem in PoE.

1- P2 has close to a minimum 1s delay on every active skill in the game.
2- P2 monsters have the same speed as PoE.

Unsurprisingly, this makes for clunky feeling, suffocating gameplay for a PoE player. If that's what you're shooting for, ok fair enough.

However, PoE animation cancelling does not fit in this equation. You're in a frenetic P2 boss fight doing its best to stress you out. It pushes you to make quick decisions or suffer the immediate, catastrophic consequences. But if you take quick actions, your desired skills are constantly animation cancelled, due to their lenghty activation times.

It doesn't fit, it doesn't make sense, and it feels horrible when it happens.

I'm worried animation cancelling was grandfathered in without testing the game with it off. If they did and it feels even worse, well ok, some other solution is needed (say, apply Apex of the Moment game-wide :P).

Another possible solution is to remove animation cancelling and have Dodge Roll cancel animations.
