IDEA for "fixing" towers

just delete them! JK, but i can tell everybody agrees that the state of towers in this game is SH?t. Most of my friends burned out and quit because of the endgame mechanic being so tedious yet non rewarding. Simply because towers have no real purpose, bad layout and the way they interact with maps is just bad.

Now my idea, proposes that towers should award some form of permanent progress if they were to stay in game, because this system just doesn't work.

U could have separate perk tree including towers, which is basically 1 tower 1 point. But as u go down in tree u need more points for better perks.

This perks can be pretty much ANY form of QoL.

Example:
Perks for farming bosses like arbiter of ash, where u would get indicators where to path to nearest citadels etc.

Maybe allowing to progress multiple maps at the same time, map skip or something. map merging, where u would clutter all mobs from multiple maps to one. like generally, speed up progress by making it a bit harder.

Maybe having perks that gave u permanent shrine buffs.

Maybe u can have one path of perk tree being juicing content to new limit, increase number of modifiers on a map etc.

Maybe have perks that makes them target farmable. Make perks like "towers have % chance for fragments"

There are many possibilities including this strategy, overall it would increase engagement, fun and reduce clutter with tablets. The planning part would still be present.

THE OTHER OPTION

Idols... i have a hunch maybe u guys wanted to test idols in legacy of phrecia for poe2. I have mixed opinion on them, as much as they can "juice" they can also be very opressive, dull and not fun.
