LOW PERFORMANCE - I have come to beg

I have a weak PC, it's old and sad, and I don't have money to get a new one. But I love this game and want to do harder content like breaches efficiently, and my character is easily able to do this already - the problem is the fact that I get 5-10 FPS when there's a lot of effects and monsters on screen. Could there please, PLEASE, be an option to turn off a bunch of particles and animations? I don't need to see everybody blow up from my ice strike, I'm cool with mobs just disappearing, I'd just like to get at least 30 fps with the lowest settings possible + upscaling from 720p.

Sorry but the marketing team says NO.

Because they don't want you to post videos with low graphics settings.

Actually POE is one of the hardest games to run in the world -- not even kidding, POE will bring gigachad PC's to their knees. Too many calculations per second. Breaks the CPU.


We are actually not joking or kidding. Console versions of POE 1 are almost unplayable, and MANY builds are not even capable or they will actually BSOD your console and require restart.


Sadly this is not new or exclusive to POE 2 -- this is a long established norm. And some leagues are so cursed random people can't even play due to some weird conflicting coding..

To give you an example, the BIGGEST path of exile streamer one league just couldn't play at all. On league launch, his biggest day, he had to run to a big box store and buy a brand new PC that had ZERO similar hardare (AMD instead of Intel, etc etc) or he wouldn't have been able to play the league.

That's right, they had to go buy an entire new PC that had zero similar hardware to make the game fucking run...


This isn't new, or unique. This is just how GGG does all the time...
