Big issue with PoE2 GGG
Despite the lack of interesting story and characters; playing the campaign first time was brilliant... dying or nearly dying to hard bosses that had decent mechanics, amazing combat, adventurous enviroment, skills ui etc etc it was all very fun.
My three biggest issues after playing the chaos campaign and some trials/end game mapping: 1. The endgame goal? achievment? Everything can be bought pretty much with currency and currency heavily involves orb gambling more than bossing and even bossing feels worthless when it drops items that again can just be bought with currency. I want untradable rare good items that involve me having no choice but to use grind and skill, not gamble or just p2w with orbs/luck. Why would I bother playing the same repetiive boring endgame node mapping that feels like I'm doing the campaign all over again for the third time when one can just buy the three crisis fragments (the main goal for end game) on the exchange? It absolutely makes no sense and makes this game feel pointless and not rewarding. Trials was fun the first three times seems a pointless chore doing it again. 2. Balancing The mobs and bosses were being killed too easily and fast all through chaos campaign and endgame. I understand that following OP builds can be the cause of making the game too easy but the balancing doesn't seem right as following meta builds the game becomes a spam two button and kill everything in seconds using very little skill but a freestyle self build is also not fun involving far less damage and most times just having to spam roll more rather than use challenging gameplay and skills. 3. Campaign: (lacks decent story/characters) The second play through on chaos difficulty felt tedious having to do the campaign again and blindly explore big pointless areas on the map all over again that personally should all be visible when I've already completed the objectives before. Thanks god it's only 3 acts for now on chaos. Everything felt easier and less rewarding. Probs didn't help I got a decent 200 divine orb drop my first couple hours on end game. SSF shouldn't be the answer to these issues either, especially when I enjoy playing with friend in party sharing loot. Endgame, for me, feels not like a step backwards but a cartwheel and a backflip back and whatever they are doing or trying to do with the new Atlas i can only hope that when the final form is revealed it will be something actually worth doing instead of the boring slog it currently is.
I am sure leagues will offer something to chase but unless they fix most of the balancing issues, add more classes/ascendancies and LOT more skills and supports i doubt it'll be worth returning at that time. Campaign is great though which is why it's such a shame how bad the endgame stuff is currently but this is early access so the hole is things will change for the better. Oh and yeah, they need to sort out the economy.. as it is now, yeah.. it's beyond top heavy and casuals and semi regulars have zero chance to compete at which point, why even try when there are better, more well balanced and rounded games on the market? |

" 1. Play SSF. If you are not happy with how the economy works in this game, play ssf. OR dont use trade if you want play with friend. 2. If it's hard for you - follow meta builds. If it's easy - make your own builds on unpopular abilities. Any ability can be used to complete the game. What's the problem here. 3.This is a strange claim in general. It became too easy and repetitive with no goal rather than hard Rassomaxa69 and your 'just play ssf' reply is such a bot way of thinking this is how you fix a games issues ffs.
