XP loss is fine, if GGG makes this one small addendum
Create a Cooldown on further XP loss. Let's subjectively say 10-20 minutes.
You are mapping, taking things cautiously.... then you get off screened. You had built up 70% of your 95th level, so this one death is already going to cost you hours and hours of future mapping. Even when using the Omen of Amelioration, that 2.5% costs you just under an hour. Allow us to rage and vent and throw ourselves at whatever maps for a certain amount of time, carefree after that first death. Nothing feels worse GGG, then to die on accident once, only to (because we arent taking our time because we are f**ked up in the head) successively die 2-3-5 more times, thereby costing us more than a days worth of grinding. This cooldown means death still punishes.... but not soul crushingly so Dernier bump le 11 févr. 2025 23:10:51

Try to put more effort into building character to not die every 10-20min

" Im starting to play a bit of Hardcore, so I get where you are coming from. But I am trying to find a compromise for the casuals so they wont treat it like a CoD respawn machine..... |

" That's what people trying to do. But you know, to make a build that good you need ressource, and to get ressource you need high risk, and to have high risk mean more dead. And the cycle of frustration continue. |

" There is a compromise. They improve and die less or they accept that they stay on the level they are atm OR take longer to level up. On top, omens that prevent you from dying or even reduce your EXP loss by 75% exist. I actually don't get the entire "make the game easier and/or less punishing crowd". Do I go into the "Diablo 4" forum and demand that they make the game way harder, punishing and/or difficult? Nope. Because that's not the game they made and don't want to change. Same goes for PoE, but vice versa. |

" To get resources you just play the game. You still get good currency in lower tier maps, you still get good base items in "white" high tier maps and/or if you juice less. There will be even strategies that benefit from doing lower-tier content. For example, in PoE1 you got "Essence Farming". You do that in low tier maps and get a ton of currency in exchange. |

" Let's just say, that there's enough builds that work good on very low budget, only problem is average player will rather play meta trash that need high budget to be good, so they play that meta build on low budget and have issues because that build just doesn't work properly. |
