Range in which enemies prevent interacting with objects is infuriating

PS5/Pad user. Picking things up can be slow at the best of times on pad. I find that enemies will stop me from interacting with chest/shrines/items etc from what feels like way too far away. If you destroy 50 enemies on a shrine you cant then activate said shrine until youve clearned up all the scattered about remaining enemies within what feels like a 15 to 20 meter + radius.

I come to a shrine. Many eneimes. Kill them all. Cant activate shrine so spend a minute killing left over enemies randomly scattered about and any new ones that wander in as I go. Before I hit shrine I need to replenish my flasks now so I do. Come back and hit shrine. Immediately come across an essence. Cant activate it until Ive killed any close and near by scattered enemies. Do so. Activte essence. Kill rare enemy. Cant pick up the essence until I kill all the little enemies scattered around again. Need to replenish flasks again. Have moved about 50 meters and spent at least a few minutes trying to do what should be a lot smoother.

Maybe allow us to pick use interact at any time no matter whats near by but make it so you have to hold the interact button for 3 seconds on it, so there's a risk, without it being unesscessarily frustrating.
