Nerf the monsters penetrate 25% resistances & -15% max resistances map debuffs

In my experience the tier 15 / 16 maps you get with these negative buffs you might as well delete from inventory as a melee, and probably as ranged as well.

Especially if they also have any form of increased damages or build ups like freeze or stun. These maps when corrupted once or twice all of the sudden have 330+ % freeze build up / stun build up.

Literally 1 hit stuns/freezes you and then you get popped instantly. Which is interesting because some mobs you cannot even dodge. Like the rolling armadillo mobs. Four or five of them roll in one by one, and as you dodge roll the first at least one of the next 3 is guaranteed to hit you.

I'm thinking I have great defenses with 6400 energy shield and my HP is 1469.
But still die so easily when this happens.

On top of my defenses I have 327 stun threshold on boots and 10% stun threshold from max energy shield from jewels. So theoretically i should have 967 stun threshold which I think is quite good, but still I get stun locked so often.
My resistances: 128% fire / 138% lightning / 118% ice / 80% chaos. Like i'm not saying I wanna be immortal during maps, but losing character control and then just watch your character get pummeled to zero in a split second while you can't do anything is just a not a great player experience.

I don't think the negative resistance one is that bad.

But the freeze build up one can be bad.

I'm just of the POV that it is better to add mods one at a time, and run maps with good mods

Reforge or vaal ones with bad mods.

The fact that melee sucks is kinda a separate issue. Likely related to damage too low relative to how many divines a good weapon costs.

But if you have a good expert sacrificial mantle you get +1 max all resistances.
Until they adjust those mods, I've opted to just remove those bad maps from my inventory and then sell them off to someone with a quirky build can handle. Use regex to make a filter and then place them in another tab. I've personally took out these:
- Burning Ground
- Less Cooldown recovery
- Less Life/ES recovery
- Monster resist
- Negative player resis / Monster pen
- Temporal Chains
Honestly, just stop thinking your build can handle every single situation. It's been pretty staple PoE mechanic that some things just can't be handled with your build. EA is pretty terrible for that right now too since diversity is so low - both build diversity and activity diversity.

MoM/EB/CI builds have no probelm with burning ground, life/es recovery.
Builds with no CD don't care about CD recovery.
Builds without flasks don't care about flask recovery.
Ranged/AoE builds don't care about player res/monster pen.


Just really stop with thinking your build needs to steamroll all content. If that's your line of thinking, why play the map? Why not just have some chest full of loot that respawns every 5m so you can loot all the RNG items without even having to kill.

Removing these aspects that make the game difficult only harms the quality and difficulty of the game.
