trade scam warning dialog

If a user message another user from the trading site, show a warning dialog that the item placed in the trade dialog does not match the item you'd whispered the other player for. This should help get rid of a lot of scam.

That's a technical thing.

If you message someone for an item the game doesn't know that it is "specific item x", it only knows the location of AN item in the public tab.

So the game highlights the item on that position in the seller's tab. If the seller then takes another item and wants to trade it to you instead the game doesn't know "Hey, wrong item! That's not the item from position X,Y" thus no "Warning! Scam attempt" message.

I don't know how hard it would be to implement, but I guess if they would figure out how to do THAT - it's basically one step away from a fully functional Auction House (market place) so they could go the full route instead.

This is like the 5th post ive seen about people getting scammed.

GGG isnt going to implement anything, they have a system in place that works, yuo have the MANUALLY check the item before you accept, its a simple system.

Entire player base of people being scammed need to stop blaming GGG for their own complacency, its your own fault for not being vigilant, and has nothing to do with GGG

there is a saying which I feel like applies to this : "a fool is easily parted from his money".
