I find it so ironic that I can't even see the enemies cool models because things are just too fast.
I'm actually in the Trials of Chaos looking at monster models and the way they behave so I can actually get an idea of which ones I might want to come back and capture as a spectre later on when that ability is released, and I can't even see what their names are.
I'm trying to see the cool models of the dinosaur enemies and they just die and melt into blood in seconds, making everything feel so cheap and detached. I really REALLY wish, like I think the vast majority do, that this game would just slow down, take a different direction than zooming slop. PoE 1 exists for a reason; why does PoE 2 even exist if it's going to be PoE 1? I think this is my BIGGEST problem with the game. Even one death maps being a problem would be so much so lessened if the game would slow down. I've had deaths where I literally blinked or turned my head for half a second to glance my eyes at someone who tried to talk to me while I was mapping and died to a volatile orb I couldn't see or some other bullshit. And there was NO transitory period from being absolutely shat on by the games obscene difficulty to breezing through it with literally next to no buttons clicked. That further cheapens and lessens my care. Am I doing good? I don't know. Everythings dying and I get loot. Does the loot make me better? I don't know. I guess things are dying faster? I guess? Honestly, I think the fundemental problem with the game before anything else can even be fixed is its core identity and what it wants to be, and personally, I just DO NOT want "more" PoE 1. I mean, PoE 1 is.. still there. And what we got a taste of in the PoE 2 campaign is just, *chefs kiss* Belissimo Delicious Such prime optimal amazing gaming Moving through that campaign with friends in a group was just sublime Excellent Magnifico Please, just give me MORE PoE 2! I want more of THAT! P.S: Trial of the Sekhema and Chaos Temple feels A+ and really good when at endgame. If the game was just that little bit more tactical, if enemies lasted an extra second or two sometimes and the boss fights were 30sec-1 minute longer... This game has the potential to be the greatest ARPG of all time, bar none, with an S+++ rating that I could recommend to literally anyone regardless of if they've played ARPG's or not. I think that is amazing. The only thing stopping it from becoming that (for me) is the speed at endgame and the lack of gravitas and engagement that the boring zooming nature of everything provides. " This is a problem too and it's even worse with burning ground. Lots of visual clarity modifications need to be made to this game. For instance "shock" should NOT be the exact same colour and shape as indicators for "lightning strikes" and such. They should be slightly different shades of blue and I would say the visual effect of shock needs to be toned down on models to be more subtle. I get it. I'm shocked. Relax game wtf, my eyeballs are literally burning. |

Sometimes I suspect that maybe those enemies even have some unique abilities and differs from each other. But maybe it's just my imagination.
