Self resurrecting minions need fixing
It seems like once per day I get some minion enemy that won't die.
Today, I had a hard time doing expedition because some enemy minion found it's way into the dig area and kept self - resurrecting. This happens because the minion gets far away from the rare monster pack that it belongs in. I don't really understand how this happens because sometimes it's like the rare monster is like three screens away but somehow one of their minions finds me and just refuses to die. The whole "resurrects minions" should just go because it doesn't add anything and they keep respawning far from the rare monster. Dernier bump le 4 févr. 2025 00:44:30

i think the 'res minion' mod can stay but they have to tone down the sadism a bit- those mobs can't be shattered, nor do they have usable corpses so they force you to deal with it one way, very shitty hard coding here if intentional

The way I would adjust it if any is they still resurrect even if you break the corpse, but if you did break the corpse they respawn back at their daddy instead.

" That would make more sense because their summoned minions need to be a on a leash so to speak. It's just so weird to have a monster that keeps reviving so you have to stop whatever you are doing and start running around to find rare monster that spawned it... |

" Learned that lesson the hard way meself when the demons that came with a demon shepherd spawn (who promptly wandered off behind the nearest tree) chased me literally 2/3 of the entire perimeter of a riverways map or something comparatively arboreal with me not knowing what was going on not having encountered such a thing before. By some miracle despite being an entry level minions build devoid of any minion protection since demons are both smart and aggressive, I survived it, and after an approximate marathon found and killed the shepherd with some kind of an inkling by then what was maybe happening (confirmed when I made a point of reading the nameplate of the yellow monster when I found it). All said and done, I decided I thought it was just the right kind of cheeky punt in the nuts that I liked the stylistic flare of such a curveball, but I can also see it as perfectly reasonable that had I died in the exact same situation, thereby deleting my bonuses on the atlas tile (losing a corrupt tile is the biggest sad panda), would have completely inverted my perception of it in the long term. Thus why I suggest that perhaps when you encounter these, a nice balance would be if you destroy the corpse while the popups are chasing you around in desperate need of some Benny Hill accompaniment, the corpses that got destroyed respawn at the daddy instead of where they were standing, with presumably accompanying loss of interest if that is too far away. |

Yeah, definitely needs to be fixed. They should have line of sight or at least a reasonable distance limit.

" well the leash wont be necessary if they just perma die and new ones get summoned at the rare, this is what i meant that the distance issue will be solved. obv no loot/charges can be farmed from them, hell they might not even leave corpses, but them we arrived at the spectrals from harbsingers lol- still less obfuscated than current implementation which almost feels like a bug |
