How to resolve this - Balbala dead, doors to room open, but quest did not progress

So the title has the gist of it.

I went to the traitor's passage. Killed balbala (Cruel), she dropped some stuff, including green quest item, which i picked up (Djinn Barja). And then I used portal to travel back to the caravan.

When I reviewed the item in inventory, it was just a regular level 52 djinn Barja, and it said it gives no additional ascendancy points, so I dropped it in the chest. I then went back to Traitors passage, because the quest state said - Travel to Traitor's passage. There it says "Search the area...". I full cleared the area, went back to the Balbala checkpoint, reset the area. The doors are open, but when I approach them, the character still says the same message she said when the door was locked - "Guess someone wanted to keep them closed..." or something along the lines.

When I entered the room, Balbala was not there.

So how do i progress here?

Ignore it, It still tells me to go there and i've killed the 4th floor boss of the sekimas.

allright, but about doing the 3rd trial? Do I just have to wait until a djinn barja drops which tells me it gives me ascension points upon completion?
