Agency over which map layouts to run
What's the plan here?
In the 0.1 interview you went like pimping the bad maps so they don't feel as bad. They still do and they are too many. There's like 5 shitty layouts per one good one - ignoring spawn frequency, which worsens the state. You could make 5 recolored versions of Steppes and Savannah as a first band aid. You could also give each layout a recognizable symbol on the world map, so we could identify them faster. Last Epoch had a similar issue early, when their bad layouts (arena) weren't so easily distinguishable from regular layouts. At least they didn't outnumber the good layouts that hard. You could further remove obstacles and too narrow gaps from a lot of maps - like Willow. I currently play Gemling and any map object that makes Tempest Flurry malfunction is a bad object. There are so many gaps where I have to resort to walking instead of spinning. Also, any plan to give us agency over layouts like in PoE1? I wouldn't mind the existence of Sun Temple, Mire, Augury, Crypt, Vaal Factory yadda yadda if I had to run them once per league/character/day. Dernier bump le 1 févr. 2025 07:26:51
