Picking up essences

After every essence I kill, it takes a few seconds to be able to pick up the essence and loot.

I don't know why R3 doesn't just work how it did on POE1 but flicking that doesn't help, you just have to wait to be able to pick it up and it's annoying AF.

It's not like this with regular rares, I can pick that shit up immediately. Just essences and it's every one of them.
