I guess I'm complaining again about op'ed health on this boss and the mechanics. I've had the game since the start of early access and I still can't get pass this boss. It makes the game boring and disappointing. I have my ranger geared best it can be but there is just one mechanic I can't get. Phase one he fires an electric charge and I still can't get the timing to dodge and roll. I spend all my health charges on this when I need them later. I have gotten into I believe is the last phase a few times but end up making mistakes and no flasks. Twice got him down to 20% I think I've done this boss 15 times re/rolled my ranger a couple times just because it's fun to level but I bought the game to have some fun and it's quality off game play and advance not to be stuck at a boss in frustration because of op'ed health and 1 mechanic. I'm not into using boost account services so I'm stuck.

I honestly never had trouble with the lightning mechanics. I simply get my resistance to 75% for this one fight by switching rings. On top of this i change my charms to the according elements. Another thing i do is, that i try to get 0.25 charges per second on both my flasks for the longer boss fights.

there lots of players who are in the same seat and who help each other? have you tried writing in the global chat for help with the last boss in act2? =) I have tried bosses myself, but sometimes i need help from other players/classes and similar levels =)

It really shouldn't be too bad on a ranger... Maybe your build is trash/not taking advantage of items? Not an insult, just a possible factor. As above lighting res capped and recharge over time flasks will help. Also watch some youtube videos, bit hard to identify specific mechanic from written description.

I think the boss does need some tweaking, even after 0.2. In 0.1, he was by far, the hardest act bosses to overcome.
With the skill nerfs in 0.2, he is just that much harder. I think his first half needs to rely less on the spears and maybe do the channel lightning more. This would immobilize him a bit more often and be far more of a strategic point than rolling out of spears every single attack. Attack, roll, attack, roll. Such a slow and tedious part. And for me, who is playing stormweaver, the most nerfed class up to this point, my damage is supremely low. I have already respecced all my utility into damage and still can't push him into phase 2 before dying. I have about as good of gear as I can find and buy, so this dps check is rough. |
