Is gambling even a valid option?

gambling for snakebite gloves pointless attempt so far. Playing SSF by the way. Hows your experience with gambling vendor?

I've never seen a Unique. But if you're SSF there are not a lot of options.

Uniques are really tough in SSF. You have to play a lot of characters and just do a ton of maps to collect uniques.

In my experience in POE 1, the way to do this was to design characters around the uniques you HAVE rather than try to get the one you want.

My exception was really wanting to play Mjollner. I gambled (in POE 1) and got incredibly lucky (although it was a marginal rolled hammer) and had an absolute blast.

So it can go either way. Gold is easy to farm, and doesnt have a lot of use outside of gambling.

I have gotten a unique once in all the gambling I've done. Low odds, as you would expect. But low isn't zero.

Of course, the better item you're looking for, the lower the odds of getting something as good or better.

I’ve had the same issue with missing lanes and broken connections in Standard after league merges. Re-adding hideouts didn’t help, but sometimes switching masters around fixed a few of them.

For unique? no it's not but gambling is good for getting rares and blues for crafting.

Target farming uniques in ssf is always a huge gamble, no pun intended.

I remember even in PoE1 I had a league where I played right up until the end, multiple 90+ characters, dropped shavs, two soultakers, kaoms, a bunch of other high-rarity uniques, and on the last week I had my first frostbreath of the league drop.

Then there's other leagues where I'd see frostbreath twice a day for two weeks.

I stopped playing poe1 around the time it went off the rails it was the "best strategy" to do things like farm exiles in the ice caves map where you could get literally 1000+ uniques to drop in hcssf.

In poe2 it seems like we're stuck with chance orbs, omens, and gambling. However, there hasn't been a single "nonrare" unique I've ever had trouble finding if I really wanted it, like polcirkn or whatever it's called, and blackflame before they added the node.

its ok if you got gold. like, for a xbow id keep gambling for them until i got one with a lot of base phy damage and craft them up. dont waste mats on not amazing bases

I barely interacted with gambling this league

There's too much RNG in the game already so i try to avoid it as much as i possibly can
