Jewel Sockets blocking Weapon Set Passive Possibilities

I just discovered something frustrating when trying to play around with some fun Weapon Set Passive setup ideas.

Because you cannot allocate a Jewel Socket node with a Weapon Set Passive Point, you cannot access any part of the tree that you haven't already allocated the Jewel Socket node on the way to with a regular passive point. I don't know if this is intentional design, but it's frustratingly limiting.

Understandably, a Jewel Socket shouldn't be allocatable with a Weapon Set Passive point, because then swapping Jewels and having the only apply sometimes would probably get very messy.

But the fact that I can't travel to parts of the tree for Weapon Set Passive notables that I might want just because of this limitation feels like too much. I would not mind being able to allocate a Jewel Socket with a Weapon Set Passive point, and just not being able to put a Jewel in it, and not get anything from that node. It would be worth it to me to still be able to path to some of the Notables I want to get on a Weapon Swap passive skill setup.

I hope this isn't intentional and is just an oversight.

I too hope, that it's not intentional.

Having to go around the tree and spend extra passives just because shortest pathing is blocked by jewel socket is very sad.

Witchhunter mercenary especially suffers from that, as weapon-set swapping is his specialisation.

And I believe that jewels should work with weapon-set passives.
After all they are just custom notables, aren't they.
Notables work with weapon-set passives, and so should jewel sockets.
