Cannot add friends or join guild

I'm playing on Xbox, and I can't add anyone to my friends. Whenever someone adds me, I show up in their list, but I can't add them back, and I receive no notifications. I also can't join a guild because I can't receive invites. I've been through every single setting in the game and on my console, and nothing has fixed it.

Have you found a solution yet? My friend on Xbox is having that problem when he tries to play with me, I'm on steam.

Just started trying to play again today with the same results. Scrolling through the forumsband google, still can't find a solution
