Can't join hardcore on xbox

The game doesn't give me a choice to pick hardcore on character screen. Not on console or something? Thanks again! 👍

I haven't made a new character in a few weeks luckily, but I'm pretty sure you select the class first and then you can change the game mode to hardcore or ssf
