My Own Meteor Shrine Effect Just Deleted Me?

Meteor shrines are fun. That being said, I activated one and had the effect for a solid five seconds. Was in the next room, Stampeding into a common mob. Meteors were falling. Two fell on top of me. I was deleted. I am sitting here looking at what was nearby. All trash common, no casters. It appears as if my own meteors deleted me.

Update: I tested a little with a couple other Meteor shrines. This is what I believe happened. I activated the shrine, Stampeded, walked a meter or two (my rage began to decay), began another Stampede as I was deleted. The meteors that deleted me were actually from the shrine before I activated it. So, lesson learned. $#%@ these shrines.

Can confirm, I have died at least 3 times of these shires, By getting hit by my own meteor
