Playing as Merc: 2/10

Hate this game. Slow, no DMG. Merc takes too long to load crap. Can I fly use base stupid shot. Terrible character. Can't play crap w controller as he aims for random back enemy and not aholes running towards you. 2/10 playstyle and character

If you cannot even play ez mode merc ... well , this is not game for you. I hope you find something more suitable.

Merc has a hard time at levels 1 - 3.

You cannot 1-button this game, nor this class, try

* using strafes / circles strafes WHILE attacking
* utilise Permafrost Bolts -> freeze ONE mob (whichever first) -> Fragmentation round comobo -> pack wipes in 2 to 2.5 hits
* this works very much the same in boss fights

* you may also need to buy a nice crossbow if you're stuck on the starter makeshift one and have reached Devourer without upgrading yet
* mobs / bosses will use different abilities based on your distance. You'll need to get used to adapting to getting up close / medium and far ranges. Some bosses severely punish you if you try to just stay at max range all the time

If you would like to be more specific as to what's grinding your gears, we can also be more specific in helping you out

I found the bow with poison vine and lightening arrow is much more effective than the crossbow in act 1. Hope to find a good crossbow soon. Im about to enter the manor.
