How to install PoE on XBox?

Hi all,
asking for a collegue who didn't provide many details and I have no clue about xboxes...

How do you initially install the game?

On PC, I go to the website and get the installer from the download menue.
He tried this on XBox and always gets error messages about Microsoft not allowing to install non-MS-stuff.

Is there any trick, permission or option we're missing?

You can find path of exile in xbox store on console.
