Portal clicking distance getting further?

Im accidently activating my portals from really far away in my hideout in the last two patches. Ive been using the same layout for 5 years and I had to move my stash box about 3 units from the device to stop using portals on accident.

Even with the toon turned away from the portal and touching the box the cursor wont swap over I less i manually use the RS to select the box first. It seema it has priority over all targets now on controller.

This is on Xbox I play on pc primarily but i also play console when I travel. I havent noticed this behavior on pc with the same controller (razer wolverine v2 if it matters)
