Please do not change existing alternate gems in Standard

If alternate quality gems are converted to standard quality gems in Standard, it will kill 90% of standard players builds, and has 0% impact on the league or normal economies.

Second this... such an asinine change that will probably cause a good portion of Standard-only players to (once again) outright quit due to the massive loss in value and character power. Absolutely idiotic..
Pointless to give triple-A game companies any sort of constructive criticism without getting put on probation (or banned). GGG's downfall is drawing near.

Afaik gems do not store their properties on the item, gem items are merely placeholders while functionality is hardcoded into the game. So yeah, if they indeed unconditionally brick 90% of my equipped gems, and tell "go run lab 500 times, maybe you'll get them back", my account will probably go on probation forever for "needlessly negative comments". They did div/ex swap and now again: wiping standard assets for the sake of temp league.
So far clinging to hope it will not be the case... |

This was such an odd thing to see in stream. Like, what are they actually thinking? They are acting like it's impossible to keep the alternative gems and then add the new gems from the new Affliction league.

Patch notes confirm this change let us hope that GGG sees reason and does not kill Standard builds for no real benefit.
