New to CoC - question on trigger

Hi all,

Fairly new to POE, question on CoC.. I have Cyclone in socket 1, and I want to trigger Ice Nova. Does CoC gem have to be in socket 2 and Ice Nova in 3?

Or can I have Ice Nova in socket 2 and CoC in socket 3,4,5 or 6?

Just looking at 6L chest and I want to buy one that would work...
